Custom Polyclonal Development
Below, is a brief summary of our custom polyclonal production
services:
| |
* |
|
Fitzgerald Industries International, Inc. offers many programs
for the production of polyclonal antibodies, all in compliance
with GMP guidelines.
|
| |
* |
|
All normal boosting, bleeding supplies and reagents, as
well as routine veterinary care for the animals, is provided
by Fitzgerald Industries International, Inc. Immunogen is
supplied by the customer.
|
| |
* |
|
If adjuvant is required, we recommend and supply Freunds
Adjuvant; other adjuvants are supplied at additional cost
or by the customer.
|
| |
* |
|
We will implement an immunization and bleeding schedule;
or if specified, will follow a custom procedure suitable for
your needs.
|
| |
* |
|
Due to significant animal-to-animal variation in immune
response, we generally suggest a minimum of 2-3 animals on
each antigen in order to maximize the quality and production
of an antibody that will meet your needs.
|
| |
* |
|
Immunization programs generally involve immunizations every
2, 3, or 4 weeks. These immunizations can be either intradermal,
subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous, depending on the
nature of the immunogen and customers' desire.
|
| |
* |
|
Test bleeds are taken after the 2nd or 3rd immunization,
with weekly or biweekly production bleeds starting once the
antibody titer is sufficiently elevated.
|
| |
* |
|
Raw serum shipments of the bleeds are then scheduled. USDA
certificates are available upon request.
An imals used for antibody production include rabbits, goats,
sheep, guinea pigs and chickens.
