Western Blot analysis using BIRC7 antibody (70R-10452)
Western Blot showing BIRC7 antibody used at a concentration of 1-2 ug/ml to detect its target protein.
|Form & Buffer||Lyophilized powder. Add 50 ul of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer.|
Usage & Assay Information
|Usage Recommendations||WB: 0.2-1 ug/ml|
Storage & Safety
|Storage||Store at 4 deg C, following reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20 deg C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Biological Significance||BIRC7 protects against apoptosis induced by TNF or by chemical agents such as adriamycin, etoposide or staurosporine. Suppression of apoptosis is mediated by activation of MAPK8/JNK1, and possibly also of MAPK9/JNK2. This activation depends on TAB1 and NR2C2/TAK1. In vitro, inhibits caspase-3 and proteolytic activation of pro-caspase-9. Isoform 1 blocks staurosporine-induced apoptosis. Isoform 2 blocks etoposide-induced apoptosis.|
