|Biological Significance||BLNK, also known as B-cell linker, is essential for normal B-cell development. This protein has been shown to associate with the effector proteins GRB2, Vav and NCK following activation of the B cell receptor. It is phosphorylated by the Syk tyrosine kinase, which in turn permits activation of downstream effector proteins including GRB2. Recombinant human BLNK protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.|
