Flow Cytometric assay using EXOSC7 antibody (10R-1357)

HeLa cells were fixed in 2% paraformaldehyde/PBS and then permeabilized in 90% methanol. Cells were stained with anti-EXOSC7 mAb (shaded) or isotype control (unshaded) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG.

Method of Purification EXOSC7 antibody was purified using protein G column chromatography from culture supernatant of hybridoma cultured in a medium containing bovine IgG-depleted (approximately 95%) fetal bovine serum.
Form & Buffer EXOSC7 antibody in PBS (3.0 mM KCl, 1.5 mM KH2 PO4 , 140 mM NaCl, 8.0 mM Na2 HPO4 (pH 7.4)) containing 1% bovine serum albumin (BSA) and 0.05% sodium azide (NaN3 ).

General Information

Biological Significance EXOSC7 is a component of the exosome 3'->5' exoribonuclease complex, a complex that degrades inherently unstable mRNAs containing AU-rich elements (AREs) within their 3' untranslated regions. Required for the 3'processing of the 7S pre-RNA to the mature 5.8S rRNA. Has a 3'-5' exonuclease activity.
