Western Blot analysis using Fractin antibody (20R-2850)

Western blot of colchicine treated Sy5y cell lysate showing specific immunolabeling of ~ 32k cleaved actin fragment (fractin)

Specifications

Host Rabbit
Form & Buffer Supplied as a Neat Serum

Usage & Assay Information

Usage Recommendations WB: 1:1000, IHC: 1:100

General Information

Biological Significance During apoptosis, beta actin is cleaved by activated caspase 3 between Asp244 and Gly245. This cleavage results in the release of an approximately 130 amino acid (15 kDa) fragment from the C-terminus of beta actin and a 32 kDa (244 amino acid) N-terminal fragment of actin, known as Fractin.
