Flow Cytometric assay using KIF2C antibody (10R-1407)

HeLa cells were fixed in 2% paraformaldehyde/PBS and then permeabilized in 90% methanol. Cells were stained with anti-KIF2C antibody (shaded) or isotype control (unshaded) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG.

Method of Purification KIF2C antibody was purified using protein G column chromatography from culture supernatant of hybridoma cultured in a medium containing bovine IgG-depleted (approximately 95%) fetal bovine serum.

General Information

Biological Significance The protein encoded by this gene is a member of kinesin-like protein family. Proteins of this family are microtubuledependent molecular motors that transport organelles within cells and move chromosomes during cell division. This protein is important for anaphase chromosome segregation and may be required to coordinate the onset of sister centromere separation.
