|Biological Significance||NHP2L1 belongings to the ribosomal protein L7Ae family. This protein localizes to the nucleus, mainly concentrated in the dense fibrillar component of the nucleolus. It directly binds to the 5' stem-loop of U4 snRNA and plays an important role in the late stage of spliceosome assembly, prior to step I of splicing catalysis. Recombinant human NHP2L1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.|
