PNMT antibody (10R-3133)
Mouse monoclonal PNMT antibody
|Synonyms||Monoclonal PNMT antibody, PENT antibody, PNMT antibody, Noradrenaline-N-methyltransferase antibody, PNMTase antibody, PNMTase antibody, Phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase antibody, Phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase antibody, PENT antibody, Noradrenaline-N-methyltransferase antibody|
|Immunogen||PNMT antibody was raised in mouse using recombinant human PNMT (1-282aa) purified from E. coli as the immunogen.|
Western Blot analysis of PNMT antibody (10R-3133)
The cell lysates (40 ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human PNMT antibody (1:500). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
|Method of Purification||PNMT antibody was purified by protein G affinity chromatography.|
|Form & Buffer||Supplied in liquid form in PBS buffer (pH 7.4) with 0.1% Sodium Azide|
Usage & Assay Information
|Usage Recommendations||WB: 1:500|
Storage & Safety
|Storage||Can be stored at 4 deg C short term (1-2 weeks). For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20 deg C or -70 deg C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.|
|Biological Significance||Phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase (PNMT) catalyzes the synthesis of epinephrine and plays an important role in regulating cardiovascular function. Expression of PNMT is regulated by hormonal and neural stimuli because its promoter contains sequences responding to cholinergic and depolarization stimuli. PNMT is the final enzyme in the catecholamine pathway, catalyzing the conversion of norepinephrine to epinephrine using as the cosubstrate and methyl donor, S-adenosylmethionine.|
