CA 125 protein
CA-125 (MUC16) is gaining importance as a tumor marker or biomarker that may be elevated in the blood of some patients with specific types of cancers, or other benign conditions. Our purified native CA 125 protein is purifed from human ascitic fluids and is >95% pure. It can be used in a number of applications as a positive control such as Western blotting, ELISA and Lateral Flow. This CA125 protein is partically purifed from a human ovarian adenocarcinoma cell line and is also an experimental control.
Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is involved in cell adhesion. It is normally produced during fetal development, but the production of CEA stops before birth. Therefore, it is not usually present in the blood of healthy adults, making it a tumor marker in cancer research. This CEA protein >80% purified by immunoaffinity column from human colon carcinoma.This CEA protein is ideal for ELISA assays while this highly purified CEA protein can be used as a control in a broad range of assays.
CA 15-3 protein
Another tumor marker, CA 15-3 has shown high specificity for breast tumors, Reoccurrence detection of breast cancer by CA 15-3 assay can preceed confirmation by radiological detection methods by 1-9 months. Although there have been numerous other breast cancer related biomarkers discovered and clinically investigated, no single protein has been proven to have greater specificity or sensitivity than the CA 15-3 Breast Tumor Antigen.
