Method of Purification Rat IgM (HRP) was purified by delipidation, selective precipitation and tandem molecular sieve chromatography followed by dialysis.

Form & Buffer Lyophilized from 0.04M K3PO4, pH 7.2, with 0.3M NaCl, 10 mg/ml BSA, and 0.01% gentamicin sulfate. DO NOT add NaN3. Immunoglobulin and protease free.

Storage & Safety

Storage Store at 4 deg C until reconstitution. Following reconstitution aliquot and freeze at -20 deg C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

General Information

Biological Significance Immunoglobulin M, or IgM for short, is a basic antibody that is produced by B cells. It is the primary antibody against A and B antigens on red blood cells. IgM is by far the physically largest antibody in the human circulatory system. It is the first antibody to appear in response to initial exposure to antigen.
