HRP conjugated antibody
Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is an enzyme which occurs naturally in horseradish. It is used extensively in biochemistry applications primarily for its ability to amplify a weak signal and increase the detection levels of a target molecule.
Antibodies are conjugated to enzymes such as HRP in order to amplify the signal utilizing the catalytic properties of the enzyme. The most commonly used enzyme for this purpose is HRP although alkaline phosphatase (AP) is also popular. HRP conjugates are ideal for use in immunoassays such as ELISA as well as immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry and other applications where high specificity and low background noise are important, such as when sample volume is limited or when the target molecule is present at low levels. HRP conjugates have a very high turnover rate, yielding good sensitivity with short reaction times.
Fitzgerald Industries offers a wide range HRP conjugated secondary antibodies. Our extensive catalog of conjugated secondary antibodies includes HRP conjugated versions of every major immunoglobulin class, subclass and fragment from all common host species and with high specificity for both human and animal immunoglobulins. Our HRP immunoglobulins are the ideal choice for your existing detection systems or for developing specific assays.
Some of our top selling HRP conjugated secondary antibodies include:
Goat anti Human IgG (H + L) (HRP) specific for the heavy and light chains of Human IgG, this is an excellent choice for ELISA, Immunohistochemistry or Western Blot applications.
