|Biological Significance||UBE2W accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. This protein in vitro catalyzes monoubiquitination and 'Lys-11'-linked polyubiquitination. UBE2W is widely expressed, especially at highest levels in testis. Recombinant human UBE2W protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.|
